The goal emphasizes the need for universal access to quality education at all levels – from early childhood to tertiary and beyond. It also underscores the importance of lifelong learning opportunities as a means to equip people with the skills they need for life and work. SDG 4 has several targets associated with it, covering a range of educational needs and challenges.
