The School Bus
It was a significant event throughout the school district when the school bus arrived! When the Lovund School was to be inaugurated and the students were preschoolers and first graders, and considering the long and unsafe route to school, we chose to ensure the children's safety by purchasing a school bus. At first, we didn't believe we could raise the necessary funds, but the employees at Nova Sea in Lovund also contributed, making the bus a reality.
In addition, our great supporter Trixie Wagner has also contributed funding to make the school bus a reality. So, she's absolutely right when she claims she owns one of the bus's rear wheels!
The School Bus project also requires ongoing support for maintenance, fuel, and the driver. These costs amount to about 10-15,000 kr annually. Currently, these expenses are covered by the parents, which we hope they can be relieved of in the future.
